Corporal Edward Clifford Sawyer, was based at Lockerbie, Dunfrieshire and served with Reconnaissance 1941 - 1946. He was also a member of the Pegasus Parachute Regiment.
Died 23rd September, 1965.
During his service he was awarded
the France & Germany Star,
the Defence medal,
the Battle of Britain Star,
and the War medal.
He was also awarded the King George V Silver Jubilee Medal
The award of these medals was at the discretion of the local government authority, who were free to decide who got a medal and why.
